It’s been a hot summer here in Bucharest but we’ve been hard at work fixing issues with AVChat. Since the last final build back in July we’ve fixed a huge number of bugs. I am proud to say this will be the most solid build of AVChat so far. Here’s what’s new: We’ve added the ability to hide the entire left side (webcam and users list, hideLeftSide setting in avc_settings.xxx ) creating a minimalist chat experience that will benefit such scenarios as: small text chat widgets online live help/sales chat quick chat mechanisms The input text chat area now has 2 lines!!! Hello everybody, Over the Internet there will always be someone who might want to harm your website’s activity just for fun or for some material reasons. We’re writing this article in order to help our AVChat customers who are getting spammed. Here are the steps that you can do in order to prevent future incidents. 1. Just a small update to AVChat today with 2 minor fixes: fixed issue with Red5 where users leaving the chat all together would still be present in the external XML rooms & users list under the <not_in_rooms> XML tag The Push To Talk button now has a red background that makes it more visible: As usual you can download it from your private client area. Only the .swf files and the Red5 media server files have been changed since the last build.

We brought minor updates and bug fixes to the integration kit, and here there are: We’ve updated the AVChat Admin Interface page to tell you when the admin.swf file is missing or the installation of the integration kit was not performed properly. Changed the minimum Flash Player version necessary to run our software from 10.0 to 10.3 because of new AVChat requirement introduced in build 1461. Hello all, This is the first build with the new dedicated team for AVChat (more on that in a future blog post) and we’ve tried to implement some of the requests that you’ve asked for but also fix some of the bugs reported and unreported. The main new feature in this build is the Silence feature which allows admins to block users from doing anything in a chat room for 30 seconds (period can be changed). This update adds 2 new features and fixes some reported bugs. Here is a quick list of what we’ve added: When available, the age is added to username in the user’s list (only for JomSocial).
